The ad is very effective in getting the concumer to buy the product. The ad uses persuasive language and provacative images to convince the consumer that their product is the best to buy. According to the ad if you blow smoke from a Tipalet Cigar into a womans face then she will follow you anywhere. This ad advertises smoking as being cool and manly in that when women see you smoke they will “dig” you more. The ad also uses “deception” by not informing the consumer of the dangers of second hand smoke. To me, however, the use of persuasive language trumps the lack of health risk warnings.
